Ras El-Dib Gas Oil Separation Plant (GOSP) & Offshore Platforms Amal Field Development Project (AFDP) Phase I & Phase II

Amal-A Platform – Key Responsibilities:

• Supervised the commissioning & installation of topside facilities using various marine vessels, including Maridive Barge (MD-300), PMS-11 Barge, and PMS-12 Barge.
• Led the commissioning & start-up of a 24”/16km hydrocarbon pipeline.
• Managed the commissioning of a 4”/16km gas lift pipeline.
• Oversaw the commissioning of an 8” pipeline between Amal-A & Amal-B platforms.
• Directed the installation of two new deck extensions (50 tons & 20 tons) on the platform.
• Supervised the well-head hook-up for wells Amal-9, Amal-10, Amal-11, and Amal-14.
• Managed the replacement of old grating & stairs at the mezzanine deck of the platform.

Amal-B Platform – Key Construction Activities:

• Led the fabrication & installation of an 8” pig launcher connected to the new 8” pipeline between Amal-A and Amal-B platforms.
• Supervised the installation of 16 braces (20”, 16”, 14”, and 10”) at various levels, connecting them to conductor guides using SinoTharwa Offshore Rig (ST Bahari-1).
• Managed the installation of three deck extensions on the platform using SinoTharwa Offshore Rig (ST Bahari-1).
• Directed the hook-up of Amal-22 and modifications to the Amal-18 flowline.

• Worked in a highly technical and challenging brownfield environment, providing expert technical support and advice to the Mechanical Department
• Total Shut-down: Led the replacement of two old regeneration columns (34 meters height, 80 tons each)
• Pre-Compression Project: Managed the installation of two 10 MW electric motor-driven compression packages to increase plant capacity (420 MMSCFD) and field reserves
• Directed department planning, providing technical support to the Head of Projects in a high-demand environment
