Providing Medical Care:
The primary role is to deliver medical care to personnel on the rig, addressing both emergencies and routine health needs.
Maintaining Medical Records:
Keeping accurate records of personnel health information, including blood types, allergies, and medical history, is essential.
Maintaining Medical Supplies:
Ensuring adequate stocks of medications and medical equipment are on hand, checking expiration dates, and ordering replacements as needed.
Emergency Response:
Being an active member of the rig's emergency response team, ready to handle accidents, injuries, and sudden illnesses.
Evacuation Coordination:
If a medical emergency requires treatment not available on the rig, the medic will coordinate the transfer of the patient to an onshore facility.
Health and Safety Advice:
