• Lead a multi-disciplined team (Engineering, Execution, QA, QC, operations, planning, and cost control),
• Lead, monitor and control the performance of project life cycle – Project initiation, cost estimation, budgetary analysis, planning, execution and project close-out.
• Define, review, and Manage Engineering deliverables across engineering disciplines.
• Key activities including task completion verification, project team monitoring, managing the exchange of project updates across project team members, schedule reporting, issues resolution, scope change and variation claims.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks through proactive measures and corrective actions.
• Manage, control and supervise procurement activities and logistics to site according to project timeline.
• Manage, control and supervise fabrication and construction activities in site according to project schedules and standards.
• Manage, control and supervise site activities, such as conducting risk assessments, providing guidance to contractors, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Monitor the execution phase as a company man in site and verify execution of project elements through meetings.
• Communicate with all project stakeholders to exchange technical requirements, project information, site queries and site preparations.
• Lead project close-out – Project financial reconciliation, Hand-over process, verification of site equipment and material, installation and start-up operations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout all project phases.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participate in in-house engineering studies , detailed technical evaluation and safety reviews for assigned plant areas & Pipelines :

o Ensure using of various codes, standards and specifications such as ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5, ASME B 16.11, ASME B 16.47, BS, ISO,NFPA, API 14E, API 14C, API 6A, GUPCO Specification, etc.

o Prepare flow sheets drawings and P&ID drawings for the proposal of each new project.

o Review and update the piping classes for each project according to GUPCO piping material Specifications.

o Prepare piping isometric drawings with MTO according to GUPCO piping classes for each project.

o Perform piping stress analysis using Caesar 2.

o Review piping stress analysis reports.

o Prepare isometric drawings with MTO for offshore Pipelines riser, launcher Pig traps and Receiver Pig traps.

o Prepare technical reports.

o Participate in various project PHA studies ( HAZOP, What-if analyses and check list) for proposed plant modifications and new projects.

o Ensure safe work at all times during projects lifecycle.

• Corporate with Facilities Integrity team to help them through:

o Participate in the recommendation for the anomaly reports by replacing/removing the corroded/defected piping, valves , offshore Pipelines riser & Pig traps and preparing in-house proposed Pipeline riser, topside piping & Pig traps isometric drawings with MTO.

o Provide short and long term solutions including cost optimization to comply with shutdown activities.

• Participate and supervision for Management of Change (MOC) activities through:

o GUPCO electronic FCP (Facilities Change Process) system for Plant Facilities (offshore/onshore pipelines and plant equipment, Pipelines and Piping) to ensure compliance with the company specifications for engineering design and safety.

o Ensure that the SOR and scope of work is being met by all Engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, E&I, offshore/onshore Pipelines, Piping, Structure, Rotating Equipment, HSE & Process safety) to review/approve the Engineering design of the modifications.

o Ensure that the Engineering documents covered the scope of work are fully uploaded in the electronic system of the MOC system.

o Follow the implementation of the Engineering documents with the required SOW, time frame (schedule) and budget.

o Uploaded the formal close out of the project in the electronic system to close the implemented project.

• Participate in offshore Pipelines incidents investigation and conclude learnt lessons then share and incorporate in providing recommendations.
• Supervision and manage contractors for site surveying projects including onshore/offshore pipelines survey (more than 170 subsea pipelines inspection) including:

o Review the Survey Work Request that is prepared by Surveying Contractor Company.

o Incorporate with marine department to develop and implement effective progress and budget control and reporting.

o Review the daily reports and daily progress.

o Review the time break down of the surveying Company.

• Initiate/propose required conceptual design packages and scope of work for major modifications those shall be prepared by external engineering firms to proceed with FEED/Detailed engineering design phases.
• Review engineering packages prepared by external engineering firms confirm that :

o Checking basis of design (BOD) for the project.

o Design compliance with the codes and standards and as per Site Technical Practice STP.

o Design packages satisfy process inherently safer design objectives.

o Materials selection compatibility.

• Evaluating operational problems and advice recommended solutions (Supporting GUPCO operations) :

o Responsible for analyzing operational disorders those appear within GOS Onshore/Offshore operations and propose remedial actions.

o Prepare the required contingency plans for fluids handling.

o Supporting Field Operations for substantial demand and fluid handling & Contingencies.

o Supporting activities of Document Control Center, and engineering documentation library.

• Establish a good communicate with all project stakeholders from other departments such as the offshore/onshore operation staff , Process Engineers, HSE staff , E&I Engineers, Planning team, Construction team.
• Apply company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations, specifications and objectives to ensure safe work at all times.
• Supervision of in-house draftsmen and provide them with proper information for requirements of Engineering drawings.
• Participate in training and development of new graduate engineers to allow them to participate in department activities.
