Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and conducting all in-house urban, architectural, interior design and detailed drawings as per required by each project.
• Fully responsible for reviewing all architectural and structural packages submitted by consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance with projects requirements.

These packages include:

- Schematic Design drawings

- Detailed Design drawings

- Tender Drawings

- IFC Drawings

• Attending all meetings with consultants and direct managers to co-ordinate project tasks and ensure smooth work flow.
• Reviewing, modifying and approving the execution drawings for finishes submitted by contractors, in preparation for implementation.
• Reviewing client modifications received from the modifications department, providing recommendations when necessary and approving them for pricing initiation.
• Conducting site visits to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Supervising and mentoring junior architects ensuring all drawings are executed correctly.

Job Responsibilities:

1- Lead architect responsible for the completion of all interior design shop drawings of the CEO's private villa in JEWAR compound and this included:

• Full coordination between the interior design team and MEP consultants.
• Fully responsible for the modification of electrical drawings received from the electrical consultant based on the interior design modifications.
• Full execution of all interior design shop drawings after designs are being handed over by interior designers, these drawings include:

- False ceiling designs along with its lighting units

- Flooring designs

- Wooden cladding & Doors detailed drawings

- Marble drawings along with Stairs and Handrail details

- Bathroom designs

• Full supervision of all drawings prepared by other parties, along with site coordination, to ensure timely delivery of all required drawings to the execution team.
• Conducting full finishing materials tables documenting the clients exact selection of the following items: Sanitary fixtures, Wooden doors accessories and Lighting Spots & Lighting Units which acts as a primary phase for the conduction of Purchase Orders along with taking part in the materials selection process.

2- Lead architect responsible for the designs, full execution shop drawings & material selection of 10 family villas of the CEO's family members, all taking part simultaneously.

- Electrical shop drawings (Power, Lighting & CCTV)

• Bathrooms designs.
• Marble flooring designs and False ceiling designs.

• Working alongside with the procurement department in order to provide variety of options for all finishing and sanitary accessories.
• Conducting full finishing materials tables documenting the clients’ exact selection in which these tables act as a primary phase for the conduction of Purchase Orders.
• Conducting Regular site visits to ensure that interior works are carried out as per the final submitted drawings and designs.

for New ALFORAT Corporate Head Quarters

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinating between the owning company representatives carrying the project main keys and requirements to the consultants.
• Lead architect responsible for the coordination between the general, mechanical & electrical consultants.
• Revising all submitted drawings from different consultants making sure all designs and specifications were carried out as per requested. Submitted packages included full architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Being in charge of the execution of shop drawings of certain items due to the very tight time schedule imposed by the owner and constant delays from the general consultant’s side.
• Shop drawings included and was not restricted to:

- Gypsum Board ceiling DWGs

- Aluminum partitions Shop DWGs

- Porcelain Flooring & Bathrooms Ceramics Shop DWGs

- Interior & Exterior Elevations cladding designs.

• Responsible for working alongside with the procurement department sending the primary consultants BOQ to different vendors and contractors for the submittal of different price offers.
• Studying the submitted quotations for the best selection of price offers along with technical specifications in order to ensure that best offers are selected and accredited.
• Lead architect responsible for the full coordination with electrical and mechanical contractors handing them over the final shop drawings, answering all their inquiries in order to speed up the completion of the work.
• Coordinating between different contractors handing over drawings, revising, accrediting modifications and acting as the main link between different parties for problem solving of all issues that might arise.
• Conducting & revising all drawings and quantity surveying schedules for the manufacture of the following items:

- Aluminum Partitions and Wooden Doors

- Offices Furniture: lead architect responsible for closing the deal with MOBICA manufacturer for supplying all offices furniture along with revising and accrediting the shop drawings sent from their side in order to proceed with the manufacturing process.

• Lead architect responsible for conducting the required quantity surveying and material selection for all the required purchase orders and this includes:

- Electrical Finishing materials & Lighting units

- Flooring Materials

- Wooden Doors Accessories

- Sanitary Fixtures

• Taking part in the material selection process with the general consultant and acting as a link between them, the owner and the different vendors.
• Temporarily supported site engineering duties due to staff shortage and increased project demands, driven by a desire to expand execution field experience. Duties included:

- Regular site supervision making sure everything is carried out as per the submitted drawings.

- Guiding contractors on the new required work as a substitute for the main project site engineer in case of their absence.

- Attending regular site meetings with the general consultant as the owner’s representative to review progress and resolve execution obstacles.

- Lead architect responsible for on-site quantity surveying of all of the finishing work items and conducting the required quantity surveying documents in order to pay the contractors their dues.

- Lead architect responsible for the conduction of all required contracts and permits that are required to speed up the completion of work.

JEWAR Compound & MURUJ Mockup Villa

Job Responsibilities:

Lead architect responsible for the completion of all interior design shop drawings of the company projects in JEWAR and MURUJ mockup villa and this included:

• Architectural plans modifications and redesign.
• Landscape Design and execution drawings.
• Full execution of all interior design shop drawings.
• Conducting the required quantity surveying documents for the Bill of Quantity preparation and material selection.

Material Selection

• Suggesting and preparing a detailed description for all required materials of a project.
• Meeting with clients in order to assist in the selection of all materials in the suggested material list.
• Assisting the purchasing department in approving on samples and colors ensuring the right materials are selected.
• Searching for new materials and brands and comparing between possible alternatives for any material.

• 3 months training in Quantity surveying for all the ongoing finishing works of Orouba Mall – Alexandria; such as:

- Plaster work, Gypsum Board, Porcelain & Ceramics, Marble.

Job Responsibilities:

• Orouba Mall-Alexandria interior design drawings: Flooring and False Ceiling designs
• Mosque interior designs: Elevation’s design, wall cladding, flooring and false ceiling designs.
• Orouba Company Headquarters: Furniture layout plan, Co-ordinated false ceiling design and Interior elevations design.
• Orouba Mall Shops finishing process: Supervising over the mall rented shops finishing process through:

- Revising the tenant submitted drawings with the Mall Tenant Manual regulations and requirements in order to request any changes until all the drawings meets the required standards for approval.

- Periodic checkups during the finishing process for monitoring the work process progress and making sure the tenant commits to the Mall design standards till the handover of shops to the Mall Operation department.

Orouba Mall – Tanta:

• Taking part in the following design drawings under direct supervision of the lead senior architect:

- Master Site plan

- Mall floor architectural plans

- Mall Exterior Elevations.

• Taking full responsibility for: Coordinating between and matching structural plans with architectural plans.
• Directly contacting with the structural consultant in case any modifications required to be done.
• Conducting all drawings required for obtaining all the required building permits.

Fish Island Renovation Project:

• Lead execution site engineer responsible for the renovation of the former – Laborya – into Fish Island Restaurant.

Key Achievements: Received a certificate of appreciation from the Orouba Companys’ CEO for the completion of the project in a short time with amazing results.

Responsibilities included:

• All required exterior, interior and landscape designs, Finishing Materials Selection, Responsible for conducting Purchase Orders, Setting out site, organizing facilities and planning the work in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors, crafts men and other professional staff providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
• Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site.
• Conducting all the required Quantity Surveying documents.
• Completion of all works until the furnishing of the indoor and outdoor restaurants along with the selection of all required decorative items.

Orouba Mall Alexandria - Extension:

• Lead architect responsible for conducting the following:

- Elevations design & execution details to achieve the required Spanish-style architecture.

- Material selection for all elements used: (Ferforje handrails /GRC /Graviato colors / Mosaic cladding).

- Conducting detailed sections shop drawings for different elevation designs.

Orouba Mall -Tanta Project:

Fully responsible for conducting and approving on the following:

• Interior Design Drawings:

- False Ceiling, & Flooring designs

- Interior Wall cladding designs.

- Hallways, Mosque & family entertainment center interior designs.

• MEP & Architectural Co-ordination:

Liaising with the MEP department and directly working alongside with department managers in order to apply their requirements in the proposed designs, such as:

- Co-ordinated suspended ceiling design.

- Hypermarket requirements.

- Site main infrastructure & street furnishing.

(Distribution of lighting poles, water tanks, fire hose cabinets, etc.)

- Civil defense requirements, indoor and outdoor.

• Material Selection:

Part of the material selection process included the selection of porcelain tiles from China along with handling all the correspondence between Orouba Misr Co. and the Chinese company – Sincere Ceramics- through all of the import process procedures:

- Selection of tiles.

- Price negotiations & price quotations analysis.

- Quantity surveying.

- Studying and determining the type of import process.

- Handling correspondences starting from placing the order until the receipt of the final Proforma Invoice (PI) and its accreditation.

- Co-ordination with the financial department to ensure money transformation is done successfully.

- Setting agreements concerning the exact date, place and time of delivery.

- Technical receipt of the imported materials in the company warehouses.

• Partnership with Carrefour - MAF Egypt:

Lead architect responsible for direct contact and co-ordination with MAF Co. staff in order to achieve all their hypermarket requirements in our commercial malls:

- Conducting / revising and approving on the hypermarkets contract drawings.

- Reviewing, under direct supervision of the engineering department manager, Carrefour hypermarket contract technically and requesting amendments- if needed- based on previous negotiations between Orouba Misr Co. board and MAF representatives.

- Appling the technical terms and requirements mentioned earlier in the mall design process.

• Rented Shops Finishing Process:

- Supervision over junior architects throughout the previously mentioned process of revising submitted drawings and periodic checkups on shops during their work.

- Issuing shops handover letters after checking that the executed designs are in accordance with the previously submitted drawings.

Urban Planning:

Working under direct supervision of the engineering department manager in the urban planning of two new proposed residential projects and that included:

• Conducting researches to determine the best use of land resources and facilities.
• Preparing zoning proposals for the distribution of different residential units along with street planning, locating landscape areas and all other required facilities in each project (Commercial, Industrial or Community use).
• Assessing the feasibility of proposals and identifying any necessary changes.

Power Point Presentations:

• Conducting different presentations of the company commercial malls for the leasing department to help aiding the process of leasing new shops.
• Conducting presentations for meeting with and attracting more investors like MAF.

Transferred to Tanta for direct supervision, aiding and providing support to the execution team due to the short delivery period of the Orouba Mall Tanta project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing architectural designs and detailed Shop drawings as and when required for the execution of works after studying the construction site requirements for achieving faster results.
• Ensuring that architectural designs are delivered by contractors as per the accredited drawings.
• Responsible for dealing with any on-site design related problems that arise and modifying the designs if necessary.
• Issuing all architectural correspondences with MAF architects.
• Highlighting any violations to architectural related issues on site.
• Attending progress review meetings and co-ordination meetings between Electric, Mechanical and Civil departments to assist in resolving any site issues.

SEDRA Compound Phase 2 – Interior Design:

Responsibilities included:

Lead architect responsible for the completion of all interior designs of the residential compound and this included:

• Furnishing plans for all residential units, electrical layout proposals and lighting fixtures.
• Gypsum board designs for all different spaces in the different residential units.
• Working closely with mechanical engineers to determine how interior spaces will function, discussing all details till the determination of the exact air conditioning type, location and requirements along with applying them on the proposed gypsum board designs.
• Toilets and kitchens designs; starting from plumbing fixtures design, going through material selection to full ceramics designs.
• Researching and deciding on all finishing materials based on interpreting customers’ needs along with putting into consideration cost control and sticking to the determined budget and this included all the project’s required tiles along with all internal and external finishes.
• Fully responsible for conducting the required porcelain purchase order from China starting from the selection of tiles till the arrival of goods to the warehouses.
• Working closely with electric engineers determining the exact electric site requirements, placing transformers and electric panels' rooms on site.

SEDRA Compound Phase 2 – Aqua Park Proposal:

Responsibilities included:

• Designing pools and landscape outlines for the compound aqua park.
• Selection of slides, waterfalls and kids’ games from catalogues of Turkish companies (Polin Water Parks & Polgun Water Parks).
• Handling all the correspondence between the companies starting from supplying them with the outline design proposal, going through reviewing their slides proposals along with studying and comparing price quotations.

New Commercial Malls Projects:

• Responsible for taking part under direct supervision of the engineering department manager in revising, modifying and updating freelancers’ proposed plans.
• Directly responsible for liaising with Soil Consultant in order to arrange the process of getting soil borings to conduct a full soil study for the proposed lands along with Coordinating with Structural Consultants and supplying them with full architectural plans and sections in order for them to start the structural design process.

Commercial Malls Manuals:

• Full responsible for creating a Design Criteria Manual for commercial malls to be used as a guide in any future commercial mall project.
• The Manual states all mall components, requirements, specifications and the acceptable and non-acceptable finishing materials.
• Responsible for revising and advising on both; Shops Tenant Manual and Kiosks Tenant Manual which are considered as guidelines for retail store development in order to guide the design process of leased shops and kiosks and establish the quality expectations of each project.
