Job overview

  • Assist at the drilling of deviated and horizontal wells in deep gas areas (Shedgum, Uthmania, Haradh, Hwyh, and Aindar).
  • Drill HPHT wells with high overbalance in depleted zones by using INNOVERT, DELTA DRILL, RHELIANT OBM, and KILL WBM.
  • Performed different types of mud (conventional OBM, all types of OBM flatness systems, NaCl poly mud WBM, high bentonite mud, PHPA poly mud, formate mud).
  • Ensure enough chemical products to drill the required sections.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provided an onsite services under general supervision by testing, measuring and supervising the operation of fluid pumping and mixing, which includes technical analysis in addition to specific product and practical recommendations for the control of fluid properties.
  • Supervised drilling fluids volumes on rig site and vaccum’s movement From/To mud plant, included the amount of mud mixing, transferring and storage.
  • Tracked inventory level of drilling fluids chemicals and other goods. Confirmed condition and quantity of stock received. Ensured that stock levels are maintained.
  • Conducted writing of a detailed drilling fluids program and the procedures for each drilling section, indicating potential problems, preventive methods and solutions to typical problems encountered.
  • Maintained fluid properties on rig sites as per customer program by followed an accurate testing procedures of fluids parameters.
  • Worked closely to the mud-loggers and well site geologist to determine the types of formation to drill so as to effectively apply necessary treatment on the drilling fluid.
  • Managed drilling fluids properties during the drilling/coring/cementing operations within specified limit by giving an accurately testing of fluids parameters.
  • Optimized the use of solids control equipment’s systems by based on my IFE Rig Evaluation certification and skills taken from old wells.
  • Provided a constant support to aid operations in providing customers the most efficient, environmentally safe drilling fluids those are available.
  • Enhanced Trainee Drilling Fluids Engineer’s performance through daily monitoring on the rig and motivational strategies.
  • Increased employee’s knowledge of safety by participating and contributing to safety awareness programs.
  • At the end of each well, a comprehensive Recap be provided as an end of well report.
