Senior Production Technologist
- Participating and/or preparing well completion design using the suitable artificial lift system matching the reservoir conditions & well data
- Participating in technical studies concerning water injection and artificial lift projects, oil and gas operations as assigned
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Acting as a focal point for Production Engineering related contracts (e.g
- Coiled tubing, wireline, & well testing package) to meet the job requirements & safety criteria
- A member of Kalabsha Integrated Field Review Team (Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Subsurface Engineering & Surface Engineering) responsible for the following tasks: Participating and/or preparing programs for: New well completions
- Recompletions
- ESP and SRP pump replacements
- Remedial work (WSO either by B.P, straddle packer or cement squeeze and/ or re-perforation recompletions)
- Stimulations such as Hydraulic Frac
- And Acid Stimulations
- Assuring that the Company Environment, Health & Safety policy, procedures, regulations are implemented according to the COW (Control Of Work) process
- Troubleshooting for C.T
- Problems, if any, during lifting/ unloading using N2, acid backwash and acid stimulation jobs, such as C.T
- Stuck, C.T pinhole and C.T
- Cut
- Surface Trouble shooting for ESP wells which have low Pump Intake Pressure, Gas interference/ lock, ESP plugging through the optimization of operating parameters such as frequency, CSG status underload / overload, etc.) or preparing for acid/ xylene/ diesel back wash in case of ESP plugging
- Preparing candidate wells programs for corrosion inhibition injection/ batch treatments, scale inhibition injection, PPD injection for high pour-point-temperature oil wells & down hole injection for oil wells with high paraffin content & plugging tendency
- Monitoring oil/gas producing wells and water injection wells performance
- Investigating well problems and making action proposals
- Recommending workover for specific wells giving prognosis of each well and workover justification
- Well review and ESP monitoring using downhole sensor interpretation (Pressure intake pressure, discharge pressure, downhole motor temperature and vibration) in combination with surface measurements (amperes & frequency) and well production test data (flow rate, WC, salinity, WHP, FLP, CSGP)
- Monitoring ESP & SRP wells performance (production target, fluid level, down hole condition, surface pressure, power consumption), field service preventive maintenance program including data gathering, analysis and troubleshooting
- Building well data base for ESP, NF & SRP wells, according to well test production history, ESP work over history, also considering down hole / reservoir condition (gassy, sandy, scaling, fluid properties behavior, etc.), problematic wells (ESP frequent plugging & TBG leak due to severe conditions H2S & high salinity WC)
- Monitoring the performance of water injection wells of all fields to develop remedial actions for problematic wells usually using acid stimulation for removing the formation damage to improve the injection rates at minimum WHIP
- Coordinating and leading the inspection team for the contractors' equipment or units prior to mobilization to fields to ensure compliance to safety and engineering standards
- Following up the contractors’ service performance and adherence to the company work policy
- Planning, following-up, and supervision of well testing, workovers & stimulation jobs
- Planning, supervision and/or carrying out variety of duties related to rigless operations, testing and stimulation to ensure optimization of oil/gas producing wells, water supply and water injection wells
- Planning to perform piping protection for inactive flow lines by mothballing using corrosion inhibited water.
