  • Coordinated with external auditors to ensure smooth and compliant audit process each fiscal year.Provide supervision, support, and guidance to a team project accountants responsible for managing their performance and agreeing on required development.
  • Supervise and support the team in grant management process to ensure full compliance and adherence to policies and guidelines, in addition to donors' regulations.
  • Approve the financial requests with a value of EGP 250,000 and above for the projects assigned to the team before their processing and payments are made. I'm also required to do a sample review of requests below 250,000 to ensure the adequacy of supporting documents and policy application.
  • Review and approve all financial reports prepared by the Project accountants' team, including the fund balances reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Project accountants team in analyzing financial reports information and alert programs with identified issues and needed actions (such as burn rates per line items, Match requirements, etc.).
  • Financial trainer for associations on the most important financial topics, such as financial management, Management Sub Grants, Guide to Policies and Procedures, Budget Management, and Writing Financial Reports.
  • Support the proposal development by preparing proposal budgets, as requested by the program team.
  • Supervise and support the team in projects and financial statement audits preparation. This includes planning for audit schedules, preparation of audit contract/TOR, and clearing any findings.
  • Work jointly with the Finance head in preparing CARE's consolidated annual budgets. And lead the team in project, annual plan/budget preparation.

  • Review transactions, ensure supporting documents attached are accurate and complete, and record accounting entries in the General ledger.
  • Prepare and issue all applicable financial reports (donor reports and monitoring reports), ensuring timely submission to the concerned party after being reviewed and approved by the grants manager and budget holders for my assigned grants/projects.
