Hoda Eid Mahmoud

I have been employed at AHC since 2016, beginning my professional journey as an intern. Through consistent dedication, skill development, and hard work, I earned progressive promotions and currently serve as a Senior Charge Nurse in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU). This role is a cornerstone of the hospital, acting as a critical link between patient care, staff oversight, and clinical coordination. My core responsibilities include supervising nursing staff performance, managing emergency situations, and actively participating in daily ICU formal rounds by presenting and discussing individualized patient care plans. These integrated duties directly contribute to enhancing the unit's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvements in the quality of care delivered.

In addition, I am committed to lifelong learning, which has strengthened my confidence and competency in both clinical practice and leadership. I have successfully completed intra-hospital Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs, with a focus on cardiovascular nursing, aligned with efforts to improve my English communication skills to support effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

Recognizing the critical nature of emergency care, I have maintained up-to-date certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), with my most recent renewal completed in July 2023.

One of the key opportunities provided to me as a senior charge nurse has been serving as both a preceptor and co-preceptor. In this role, I support and mentor new staff members, helping them integrate smoothly into the hospital environment. This not only enhances individual staff performance but also contributes to maintaining and advancing AHC’s overall performance and quality improvement initiatives.

Furthermore, I am currently expanding my capabilities in research, with a focus on scientific writing and data analysis. This pursuit is driven by my aspiration to contribute to evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes through research-informed care.
