Responsibilities

• Monitor/optimize wells’ Performance, Wells Management, Rig/Rig-less Operations, Gas lift Design & Optimization
• Work with multidisciplinary team (Well surveillance, Field Development, Planning & Operations) to optimize, enhance the performance of wells and mitigate the production bottlenecks.
• Coordinates with Reservoir Engineering team for short / long term Field Surveillance plan.
• Organize activities, prepare equipment and manpower to accomplish data acquisition requirements for reservoir and production surveillance.
• Develop comprehensive logistics plan to facilitate surveillance and effective well intervention operations, encompassing slick line, E-line, Coiled Tubing, chemical treatment and testing, across all company divisions. Ensure seamless execution and closely monitor performance to optimize results.
• Actively engage in operational inspections and offer professional expertise to diverse processes in executing specialized operations in field, such as well interventions, production logging, well testing, and concurrent production/drilling/construction operations for onshore and offshore wells. Additionally, ensure offshore maintenance is coordinated with other departments and contractors.
• Review -with team members - open-hole / cased-hole logs and put action plan based on analysis.
  Recommend remedial well work solutions to restore or improve productivity/infectivity in shut-in, troubled, or underperforming wells.
• Follow up with site witnesses execution of all intervention work giving them the required recommendations to insure the safety & success of operation.
• Maintain regular communication with Operations and Contractor staff during well work activities to ensure safe and efficient implementation.
• Monitor well's performance on daily basis, diagnose associated issues and evaluate optimization opportunities.
  Production & injection losses tracking/ evaluation by (test separators & MFFM)
• Utilize choke model software to prevent and eliminate daily, weekly, and monthly losses of oil production, water, and gas injection across the field by recording them alongside their root and immediate causes.
• Review daily drilling report; discuss well-encountered problems with drilling team.
• Make sure maintaining well integrity and achieving reservoir targets and avoid formation damage.
• Prepares daily feedback and prepares weekly Operations Reports.
• Lead and support knowledge/experience transfer between all team members
• Perform training sessions to colleagues and juniors.

Impact

• Apply Gas Lift Performance Enhancement Strategies by Downsizing and Using Dummy and Venturi Valves.
• Supervise well intervention RIG-less work as slick-line, E-line, Coiled Tubing, Hydraulic fracture, stimulation, clean outs, and ensure job is performed matching with proposed procedure.
• Researches new technologies available in industry and leads feasibility studies to assess execution of pilot studies and full implementation.
• Work with other divisions to control risers’ pressures to optimum limits using demulsifying chemicals injection and optimize well performance.
• Monitor & review well testing and well integrity tests (X-tree, SSSV, wellhead, casing and tubing)
• Review troubled wells’ status, give action plans; recommend GLS, TBG check, PLT, WSO etc.
• Design, optimize and troubleshoot gas lift wells
• Plan / prepare / Optimize well work campaigns at remote fields.

• Ensure compliance with GUPCO offshore’s ‘Well Integrity Policy’ by defining team’s business goals, objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Communicate with different field crews to develop day to day required WI testing and monitoring plans
• Keep Well Integrity database updated and produce periodical well integrity status reports
• Manage the well integrity database entry for XT, DHSV, greasing survey and other well integrity activities to ensure that the data are up to date and to highlight any overdue tests
• Coordinate with all relevant departments to ensure all well integrity activities are performed in a timely manner and all well integrity criteria met during operation phase
• Develop, lead, and follow up the implementation of the WI plans and all associated monitoring, data acquisition, reviewing, and risk assessing and ranking activities while formulating the necessary remedial/ risk mitigation/ restoration plans of same in order to ensure that the uptime and well availability are maximized
• Quality check testing and surveys data collected from the field before send it to the well integrity team in the HQ for further analysis and action plans
• Support the well integrity team HQ requests for any special requirements, investigations that required a specialized procedures
• Review non-routine well operations, ensure proper procedures and dispensations are reviewed, valid and in place to avoid WI related potential hazards
• Frequent visits to offshore sites to discuss and update about the risk status of the wells with the field management
• Ensure that all personnel (employee and/or contractor) are fully adhering to company’s Well Integrity Standards during related integrity work
• Ensure that the risk mitigation or monitoring action plans are followed up in a timely manner and that the status is updated in the database management system
• Ensures risk management processes are properly used in well reviews and risk ranking
• Take an active role in conducting well peer reviews
• Guide /direct and supervise subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a Team
• Support all Well Integrity team members by passing experience and knowledge sharing

• Lead, coordinate and support maintaining records for well surface testing data, well integrity maintenance, well service records and approved procedure files for both the producing and injection wells
• Review wells’ past history and discuss the action plan to maximize the production or produce the well safely (to comply the integrity policy)
• Work closely and provide guidance to the well integrity technical assistant by reviewing and QA/QC of well data prior inputting data into well integrity database
• Providing technical support during TBRA's & dispensations for any well that fall out with company policy
• Establish and update periodical reports on integrity status of wells completed in the field and provide weekly/monthly updates on the status of all the high risked wells to senior management

• Well logging (PLT, PSP, RST (Sigma & C/O mode), USIT, MFCL, water flow log (WFL), GR-CCL Correlation)

• Water shut off (Mechanical, Chemical)
• Coiled tubing work (N2 unloading, scale accumulation cleaning, stimulation)
• Chemical jobs ( Matrix Stimulation, Tubing Cleaning, Corrosion & Scale Inhibition)

• Analyze the following well logs qualitatively:
• Open-hole logs (Resistivity, LDL, CNL, Sonic, MDT, Caliper) to recommend completion and/or recompletion operations
• Cased-hole logs (MFCL, USIT, CBL-VDL, RST) to evaluate cement behind casing and determine the completion integrity
• Analyze the following well logs quantitatively and qualitatively:
• (PLT) to develop water shut-off, perforation/re-perforation, and workover recommendations as required
• GLS & static survey analysis and recommendation to well enhancement
• Recommend and prepare stimulation and well-bore cleaning candidates/programs
• Perform Echometer survey to detect the fluid level, and maintenance of Echometer equipment
• Design and optimization of the gas lift and ESP system, troubleshooting (monitor the wellhead conditions, perform surveys to optimize and control the wells performance)
• Maintain database a variety of on well history oil/gas production, water injection based on production, drilling, well integrity reports
• Observe jobs to identify possibilities for improving operations by learning best practices in other regions
• Prepare well testing programs to match desired well testing schedule using test separators and/or multi-phase flow meters
• Report well tests periodically and perform analysis to confirm matching with normal well condition for further action
• Monitor & maintain rates and pressures (using well testing, optimizing the rates - production choke- to avoid any undesired phenomena as water and/or gas coning)
• Optimize the injection rates/ pressures based on the reservoir status/needs and its characteristics)
