The above-mentioned duties have been excellently performed in the Engineering Information System project for King Faisal Air Base in Tabuk, where I have been one of the GIS engineers behind the project's success. Coming from an engineering background, I have been able to support the engineering department by providing the computer solutions needed to interpret the engineers' requirements.
Due to that excellent performance, I have been offered the GIS department head position for the King Fahd Air Base Information Systems project in Taif. ADE or AutoCAD data Extension was the primary GIS package used throughout the project life in conjunction with Oracle as the database engine. A great part of the success achieved was actually due to AutoLisp programs, which I wrote to overcome the ADE drawbacks and enhance the overall performance, quality, and speed.
The GIS system implemented in the Air Bases stores all of the infrastructure utilities engineering drawings of the Sewage system, Water and Storm Water, Electricity, Telecommunication, and GAS in the Oracle database.
