I am a seasoned professional banker with two decades of experience in various areas of the banking industry, where I had the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of positions.
Currently I am the Head of Payables and receivables in Banque du Caire, the third largest bank in Egypt and responsible for all cash products in the Global Transactional Banking Division, where I joined the establishment in 2018.
Prior to this role I held numerous positions in Barclays Bank where I built the foundation of my knowledge and professional background for almost 16 years across Retail Banking, Premier Banking, Retail Liabilities Products, Global Transactional Banking, and Operations.

- Process re-engineering to reduce the turnaround time for cheques collection cycle
- Implementation of the value date fees for the overdrawn value date balances
- Introducing Commercial Cards proposition, along with the sales strategy
- Tailored a customized liquidity solution for one of the biggest hypermarkets in Egypt to install and activate large cash deposit machine across premises and designed an automated monitoring tool for daily reconciliation
- Establishing a centralized team to manage the interest rates and special fees implementation mechanism to avoid income leakage

- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directing Cash products commercialization efforts and providing support in terms of delivery, service levels, staff trainings and coaching to internal and external stakeholders as well as setting the business strategy
- Ensure establishing strong and proper business relationship with corporate customers, through periodic business visits and calls, being responsible for customizing solutions to meet their business need in a profitable manner
- Ensuring that product revenue, profitability are achieved, at all fronts; revenue, net income & expenses, along with fulfilling the business goals set year on year and avoiding income leakage
- Responsible for updating and briefing GTB group, top management, and sales force for traditional and new Cash products solution and services in the market, with the mind-set to providing expertise and advice to customers
- Responsible for regulatory and compliance issues related to Cash Products
- Matching customer’s needs with product capabilities through presentation of tailored demonstrations, proposals and structured solutions, propose and deliver tailor made solution to meet customer’s requirements
- Undertaking market situation analysis to identify new business opportunities in co-ordination with customer’s needs, and corresponding business segment
- Monitoring of the Share of Wallet of existing clients, spot and identify drop / increase through proper tracking mechanism, to come up with business recommendation
