• Operation Geologist Duties:

- Attend all Daily Drilling Meetings and Operation Meetings to discuss any issues and forward plans for the day.

- Making a Quick Look Evaluation for These Open hole Log Measurements.

- Performing Well-To-Well Correlation for the Current Well Based on the Open hole Log using Petrel software.

- Follow up all geological operations of all wells during day.

- Performing morning and afternoon geological reports.

- Edit and revise all End of Well Reports for each well.

- Following up work over rigs and reporting the production status and reasons of increasing and decreasing in production daily by contacting drilling or reservoir teams.

- Finalize composite logs using Log Plot Software and IP software.

- Contacting service companies whether “Mud Logging Company” or “Wireline Logging company” and schedule any of crew changes for mud logging or timing the date of Wireline logging with the required wireline tools & Runs.

- Know how to make a tender with satisfying clauses for our owner company in cost and technical specifications and personnel professionally.

• Field Duties:

- Working in vertical wells in Western Desert in different geological Basins (Abu Gharadig, Qattaniya, Shushan, Gindi, Faghur and Beni Suef Basins) at exploratory & development wells.

- Working in Horizontal & deviated wells.

- Making a full lithological description for drilled cutting.

- Accurate evaluation for oil shows (WBM) and oil stain while drilling through samples & gas system in mudlogging unit correlating between drilling well & offset wells and determining the formation tops, stratigraphic markers by using drilling parameters, mud logs & composite log of offset wells.

- Plotting the strip log & making correlation with the offset wells.

- QC of the data of mud logging Units.

- Insure all gas detecting equipments are calibrated correctly.

- Excellent interpretation of LWD (logging while drilling) log in formation tops, lithology identification, pay zone evaluation, correlation.

- Have sufficient knowledge in wire line tools and witnessed at different WL tools (TC, QC, Pressure Points, Imaging tools, Cased Hole logging, NMR, Sonic and VSP).

- Have excellent background in mud logging (sensors, gas system, lag calculations, and samples collecting).

- Determining the most accurate point for setting the casing.

- Witnessing QC for Open hole Logging Tools On site.

- Witnessing & knowledge of Tough Logging Condition (TLC) logging tools.

- Performing an onsite quick look evaluation for the open hole.

- Sending geological reports, mud logs, LWD logs, wire line logs, core & pressure reports every day to the office.

• Geophysicist Duties:

- Importing and loading seismic cube (2D or 3D) using Petrel software.

- Loading Wells using Petrel software.

- Loading Checkshot Data using Petrel software.

- Loading Well Logs using Petrel software.

- Sonic calibration using Petrel software.

- Seismic to Well-Tie and making synthetic seismogram (generating TDR).

- Loading Formation tops.

- Seismic interpretation includes (Picking Horizons, faults sticks and fault polygons).

- Mapping surfaces and expecting formation tops for the well recommendation.
