Secure File Encryption System with Biometric Authentication
- Designed and developed a secure desktop application for file encryption and decryption using AES encryption to protect sensitive user data
- Implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) by combining:Password-based authentication Biometric face recognition One-Time Password (OTP) verification
- Applied bcrypt password hashing to securely store user credentials using industry-standard cryptographic practices
- Built a desktop graphical user interface using wxPython to support user registration, login, face enrollment, file encryption, and file decryption workflows
- Integrated real-time face enrollment and authentication using webcam access with OpenCV and face_recognition
- Implemented secure file handling and storage logic to manage encrypted files within the application environment
