Summary

Growing up in Cairo, I developed a strong passion for science from an early age. I pursued my interests by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the prestigious Ain Shams University. Driven by a desire to delve deeper into the fascinating world of polymers and materials science, I continued my academic journey, earning a Master's degree and eventually a Ph.D. from the same esteemed institution.
My doctoral research focused on the design and synthesis of smart polymers and nanocomposites, harnessing the power of ionizing radiation to create novel and innovative materials with unique properties. This cutting-edge work laid the foundation for my expertise in radiation chemistry and its applications in polymer science.
I completing my doctoral studies, I joined the Atomic Energy Authority (AEAE) as a researcher at the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology (NCRRT). This opportunity allowed me to further expand my knowledge and skills in the field of polymeric biomaterials, hydrogels, and nanocomposites, while contributing to the development of advanced materials for various applications.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with renowned researchers and industry partners, fostering interdisciplinary exchanges and driving innovation in polymer science. My research has led to numerous publications in high-impact journals, books, and book chapters, solidifying my position as a recognized expert in the field.
In addition to my research endeavors, I have actively participated in academic pursuits, supervising and mentoring graduate students, teaching advanced courses, and serving on editorial boards of prestigious journals. This multifaceted experience has not only enriched my understanding of polymer science but has also honed my communication, leadership, and mentorship abilities.
With a deep-rooted commitment to translating scientific discoveries into practical applications, I have actively engaged with the Technology Innovation and Commercialization Office (TICO) at the AEAE. This collaboration has enabled me to explore the commercial potential of my research findings and facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies to industry partners and entrepreneurs.
Driven by an unwavering passion for science and a desire to push the boundaries of knowledge, I remain dedicated to advancing the field of polymer science and nanotechnology, contributing to the development of cutting-edge materials that can address real-world challenges and improve people's lives.
