Research Experience
- I was the last author of my first research paper entitled "Carnosine and crocin ameliorate oxidative stress in rats with rhabdomyolysis-induced acute kidney injury through upregulating HO-1 gene expression" (2022) in Food Bioscience (IF: 5.318). I participated in every single step of that research.
- Currently, I get involved in 2 research groups to elucidate the mechanisms beyond the preventative and/or therapeutic actions of 2 molecules against atopic dermatitis and colitis in-vivo.
- In addition to my participation in writing 2 review articles about the role of microRNA in specific disorders, I have performed 3 peer reviews for The International Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (IF: 5.652).
Ongoing Learning
- I have finished a workshop on stem cell culture and willing to gain practical experience in cell culture and blotting techniques.
- I have enrolled in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (BCB) Diploma ; This BCB Diploma is the main activity of the EG-CompBio project (Eg-CompBio was funded by DAAD: German-Egyptian Partnership Programme). I am expected to finish 2 courses entitled “Introduction to computational analysis and data science” and “Introduction to Bioinformatics” in Feb. 2023.
- Also, I am keen on taking online courses provided through Coursera and EDX to update my knowledge and discover new trends in my field.
