Summary

I believe that I am well-rounded and have a strong background that could help me become a coach at 101 Wellness. My foundation in coaching and training, honed through the EXOS Fitness Specialist course has proven my ability to motivate and mentor others. I am extremely motivated to become a coach there because I have spent a long time recently searching for an all girls gym were the ladies come to workout and reach their goals without the pressure of other external factors. Embarking on this journey of coaching is something that I wanted for many years because I have a multitude of experience with a variety of different people ranging from children to ladies my age and older. I have a strong belief that ladies only gyms are very unique because they have an influence on making trainees comfortable which is essential in yielding improvement.

Fitness EXOS course

  • EXOS Fitness Specialist course
  • The course was online. It was very beneficial as it taught me the basics of nutrition, psychology behind nutrition and training, performance fueling, pillar & movement preparation, strength training, and the art of coaching.
  • Took an exam at the end of the course and succeeded with 95%.


Intern

Fitness Coaching
  • Worked as a fitness coach for children playing badminton.
  • I learned how to lead a large group of children and to teach them fitness skills no one has taught them before.
  • Focused on footwork and overall strength.
  • Used to play badminton as a child so it was a good experience to give back to the academy I grew in.

Crossfit athlete for 2 years

  • Started out training in sessions then began a journy of fitness with a coach 1 to 1.
  • Went to ELFIT under 19 and got 7th place.
  • Worked out 3-4 hours a day.
  • Enhanced my endurance skills the most.
  • Then, I shifted away from Crossfit the past 2 years to functional training.

Functional Training with Marcus Filly

  • After ending my journey with Crossfit, I shifted to do functional training.
  • Functional Body building taught me to control my ego, focus on form and reps more than Prs, and prioritising personal aesthetics goals and joint health.
  • Matured from the corssfit hype and understood and expanded my knowledge a different field.


Different sports experiences throughout my life

  • Grew up learning a variety of different sports including: Swimming, track and field, badminton, squash, and gymnastics.
  • Growing up athletic created a strong basis for me to learn new skills such as crossfit and functional training.
