I have broad senior management responsibility over a career spanning 20 years. My professional experience ranges from delivering results in managing on-site projects and contractors; negotiating and managing major contracts; managing a results driven contracts team and international shipping of commodities in one of the world’s largest mining companies with a diversified portfolio; delivering corporate and personal programs and advising on corporate and commercial law.
At Anglo American my roles ranged from project procurement of capital goods and services; managing EPCM and Group contracts; managing a contracts team; developing and implementing a contracts management system with a governance framework for the contracts and global category management teams.
I further developed a sound knowledge in market and analytical activities through developing supply and demand models in shipping, market engagements / tenders and the constructive implementation of logistics strategies.
At Anglo American’s Commercial Business Unit in Singapore’s commercial hub I gained significant international business experience. My key results as Shipping Manager (Dry Bulk and Containers) included: freight cost reduction, driving value opportunities and the establishment of a sound logistics network for the organization.
