Accomplished Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Cairo University Hospitals. I am a graduate of Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine, a renowned institution in Egypt known for its excellence and extensive healthcare services. With Cairo University Hospitals serving as the country's leading referral center, boasting a bed capacity exceeding 3000, including specialized facilities such as Kaser El Eini Hospital equipped with cutting-edge technology comparable to top hospitals in the UK and USA. My career spans comprehensive experience in anesthesia across various specialties, particularly in orthopedic anesthesia, where I excel in advanced techniques like regional blocks and spinal anesthesia. I served with distinction as a military officer in the UAE from 1990 to 1995, gaining valuable trauma anesthesia experience during a UN mission in Somalia in 1993. I also held the position of Head of Anesthesia and ICU Department at Madinah National Hospital from 1996 to 2000, followed by academic roles at Cairo University, culminating in my appointment as Full Professor of Anesthesia from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, I completed a practical course in peripheral regional anesthesia at Ulm University and Rehabilitation Center, Germany, in 2005. Since April 2006, I have had the privilege of leading the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences, where I implement advanced teaching methodologies and contribute to practical skill development through simulations and clinical practice. My contributions to the field include the development of a novel patient assessment scoring system for regional anesthesia, published on RKU Ulm University's website in 2005.
