• Study the geology of the main petroleum provinces of Egypt: the Nile Delta, Gulf of Suez, Western Desert, and Eastern Desert
• Study the Egyptian concession areas and their surroundings to understand the tectonic, structural, geological, and petroleum systems in order to make geologic models
• Try to integrate this data into a decision to locate new prospects
• Make the bid rounds for the relinquished areas
• Participate in the technical tendering processes by correctly identifying the open areas by their latitudes and longitudes, collecting the seismic 2D & or 3D data, wells (dry or producers), and identifying the facilities, pipelines, roads, ports, military areas, and protectorates

• As a governmental entity to drill a new well, so we studied very well the proposed prospect location as an appropriate structure, studied the petroleum system prevailing in the surrounding areas.

• Joined GIS projects between the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority and the Academy of Scientific Research concerning land use projects along the Red Sea Coast to select the most appropriate locations for the development projects, which must be far away from natural hazards such as landslides, oil seepage, earthquakes, and flash floods, which affect the infrastructure of roads, bridges, cities, coral reef terraces, and buildings
• Involved in a joint project between ENPPI and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority in order to select the most appropriate location of the drilling pipelines connecting the production station "Romana" to the refining station in North Sinai, far away from the natural hazards
• Convert analog maps into digital maps by using GIS software
• Study the natural hazards (landslides, rockfalls, earthquakes, and flash floods) on the infrastructure (roads, bridges, cities, coral reefs, and buildings)
• Study the morphometric parameters of the drainage basins
• Converting analog maps into digital maps by using ArcGIS for University of Michigan Project
• Studying "Foraminifera" of Cretaceous and Eocene of Egypt
• Studying the macrofauna index fossils in the Egyptian Geological Museum
• Receiving students, foreign visitors and researchers and helping them
• Making molds and casts of index fossils and selling them to visitors
• Joined a project between UNESCO and the Egyptian Geological Museum in order to make a digital database for all preserved samples in the museum.
