- Worked on subsurface evaluation projects for assets in most regions of Egypt including the Western desert (Fayoum, Beni Suef & Abu Gharadig Basins), in the Gulf of Suez, East and West Mediterranean & Nile Delta onshore and offshore.
- Help in understanding the regional setting of the area of interest (determining Structure trends & Stratigraphic setting, creating Play concept & Isopach maps)
- Responsible for Resource calculations by determining the calculation approach, whether deterministic or probabilistic, calculating the GRV then applying the volumetric equation, help in deciding on the average petrophysical end reservoir engineering average input parameters, finally calculating the recoverable hydrocarbon volumes.
- Able to perform Stratigraphic correlation (Stratigraphic unit continuity & Possible reservoir potential)
- Create Structure correlation and determine missing/faulted sections.
- Able to create geological structure cross sections.
- Reservoir scale work including reservoir correlation.
- Determine depositional settings, change in reservoir thickness and facies.
- Creating facies, Net pay, Porosity, SW maps to better understand the potential of the area.
- Screening and evaluating exploration opportunities (bid rounds, farm-ins, near-field prospect definition) to optimize resource replacement or acquisition of assets by ranking them, based on their potential.
- Applying Play statistics to help determine if the play has remaining running room, to help have an idea of the success rate of the play.
- Help in Identifying trapping styles, leads, creating ranked prospect inventory, calculating resources (Deterministic & Probabilistic, deciding between Slab and GRV approaches).
- Studying the key risk elements, then creating a risk matrix and Risk Maps (Reservoir, Container, Closure…etc) to Visually present the Risk Values.
- Responsible for managing and organizing the database of the project like different wells data, creating a comprehensive data inventory, then loading these data into a petrel project.
