Key Responsibilities:
Case Investigation & Legal Proceedings:
Lead criminal investigations in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
Collect, review, and analyze evidence to build strong cases against accused individuals.
Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects to gather necessary legal information.
Ensure compliance with legal procedures during investigations and trials.
Court Representation & Prosecution:
Prepare legal arguments and represent the state in criminal courts.
Present cases before judges, cross-examine witnesses, and argue motions.
Ensure that appropriate legal actions are taken against offenders, seeking justice for victims.
Work on appeals and provide legal recommendations for higher courts when needed.
Legal Compliance & Public Interest Protection:
Ensure all prosecutions adhere to the Palestinian legal framework, including criminal laws and procedural codes.
Uphold human rights and fair trial principles while prosecuting cases.
Prevent wrongful convictions by thoroughly examining evidence and legal provisions.
Coordination & Advisory Role:
Work closely with police, forensic experts, and judicial bodies to support investigations.
Provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies regarding case procedures and charges.
Recommend policy improvements for criminal justice reform in Palestine.
Administrative & Reporting Duties:
Maintain accurate case records, reports, and legal documents.
Draft legal opinions, motions, and case summaries for court use.
Participate in professional training, workshops, and legal conferences.
