• Review and studying the bid tender documents (Specifications, Drawings, BOQ, Method of measurements and Vendor list) to take the project details into consideration
• Reviewing the project and in case there are technical errors in the project, send them to the client for clarification (through Request for Information-RFI)
• Coordinate with the Procurement department to get feedback about subcontractors’ prices (whenever needed), and analyze, revise, and provide guidance, and comparisons between, price offers from subcontractors and suppliers
• Follow up with Quantity Survey Engineers, and provide them with the necessary guidance- whenever needed- on the tools to be used to get the right quantities of BOQ.
• Divide the project into packages and contact suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain (through Request for Quotation-RFQ) and compare price offers and quotations for the various materials/items needed for the project.
• Preparing project direct cost breakdown.
• Conduct comparison studies for suppliers’ and subcontractors’ quotations, develop cost estimation in response to the client’s Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and calculate direct costs based on client specific requirements
• Prepare and review the Technical and Commercial Submittal with the document control before sending it to the client

• Participate in preparing Clarifications & queries.
• Break down for project items and estimating project direct cost.
• Follow up on quotations received from vendors, suppliers &sub-contractors &review comparison sheet for rates provided by them.
• Attend the Clarification Meetings with the owner of the project. (if required)
  Prepare & follow up documents to ensure that they match Requirements.
