Key Achievements

• Developed a cohesive tax strategy leading to EGP 1.5 billion in tax and regulatory savings for the first time in telecom history.
• Review and approve the feasibility studies of commercial tariffs and products before going to market.
• Provide a profitability analysis for each product by availing a full reporting pack that includes all commercial KPIs per product/tariff.
• Arranged one of the biggest long-term financing deals (EGP 7.2 billion), which was considered one of the biggest syndication deals in the Middle East in 2010, and the largest corporate syndication deal ever in the Egyptian market within the telecom market in Egypt.
• Successfully steered the company’s cost optimization plans, which resulted in significant savings to achieve the company’s targets.
• Prepare the company for the IPO, and perform various valuation techniques with Etisalat Egypt Investment Bank.
• Participated in completing a full integration of four Internet Service Provider companies acquired by Etisalat Egypt.
• Successfully launching two new companies complementing Etisalat Egypt's core business.
• Lead the digital transformation across the finance functions.

• Set the strategy and manage the respective departments to achieve the company objectives: corporate accounting, budgeting and forecasting, revenue assurance, taxation, treasury and corporate finance, procurement, logistics, internal audit, business process re-engineering (BPR), and legal affairs.
• Revamped the existing finance processes, and introduced new processes and ERP systems to establish an efficient and effective finance department.

Key Achievements

• Supported management to grow the business more than 30 times in less than four years.
• Improved credit rating of Mobilink from S&P and Moody's, one notch better than the sovereign rating.
• Managed in-house the acquisition of four companies for the Broadband/WiMax business, with a total value of $25 million.

• Managed financial departments, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Contracts, and Payroll, ensuring all company payments are made on time and liabilities are properly stated.
• Provide all financial reports and analyses—both internally and externally—and hold monthly review sessions with Vodafone UK to ensure alignment.

• Planned the audit, reviewed internal controls, accounting system, and financial statements. This was reported on a number of major clients.

• Responsible for auditing different types of industries, such as banks, oil and gas, hotels, trading, and construction companies.
