• Led the planning and execution of many developments, ERD, and highly deviated wells following GUPCO’s standards and practices.
• Participated in technical discussions and influenced GUPCO’s drilling engineering managers to share best practice and technical skills across all the assets.
• Reviewed and recommended enhancements to existing GUPCO’s standard practices, especially for loss mitigation and zonal isolation, and incorporated learnings from BP and the oil field industry.
• Led the efforts for NPT reduction and cost-saving initiatives, and achieved remarkable improvements in well performance.
• Studied available technologies to mitigate well design challenges, and achieve cost-effective plans.

As an example, I have landed an innovative design for a Conductor Deflecting Sleeve (DCS) to enable reusing existing well slots to drill new wells while mitigating the collision risk. This innovative approach was presented at an SPE event in KSA, and published on the SPE website; link: https://www.onepetro.org/conference-paper/SPE-182733-MS.

• Coach and develop 40 fresh-graduated drilling engineers. Organised lunch & learn sessions to share knowledge, and prepared development plans.

• Standalone Drilling Engineer with high accountability for planning and executing HPHT exploration onshore wells.
• Accountable for implementing foam and aerated mud drilling techniques for surface holes, which achieved great success. This unique application was selected to be presented to showcase at the GWO conference in the USA.
• CAM for four 'tier 1' wells service contracts, and was responsible for managing suppliers and ensuring continuity of the services in remote areas, with minimal oil field infrastructure.
