I hold a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo and an MBA in strategic management from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. I have a diversified experience with General Motors North Africa and Schneider electric in the manufacturing processes, new project launches, quality engineering, quality launch, and industrial engineering.
During my career, I struck many breakthrough milestones while launching complex CKD projects and contributed to awarding GM Egypt the built-in quality level IV certification. I enjoy a very high skill in team building and teamwork through which I contributed in problem-solving and improved the plant quality performance.
Lead a team of engineers and a group of technicians in order to achieve the quality engineering roles:
• Develop strategic quality plan for GM Egypt Plant, focus on achieving the best in segment targets, driving the manufacturing processes improvement, and achieving internal and external targets.
• SHAININ-REDX PLANT COACH: Coach of GM’s Statistical Problem-Solving Methodology – RedX (Shainin), my role is leading the complex technical problem-solving projects for the top-quality issues, and coaching and training the Shainin-RedX methodology, delivering at all levels, from shop floor to senior management.
• During my role as the plant’s RedX Coach, I led the execution of 20 projects focusing on saving/cost avoidance and improving different quality metrics from in-plant metrics to warranty.
• Enhanced quality initiatives by reviewing, assessing, and continuously updating standards.
• Reduced risks and enhanced control methods as part of overall production reviews and change management teams.
• Identify Product Quality Standards affecting product quality compliance and buy off the offline repair.
• Ensure ISO compliance through the direct implementation of all related ISO procedures and support the ISO certification through required annual internal Audits.
• Lead the quality circle meetings to communicate/define root cause/resolve the quality open issues.
• Confirms/coordinates dimensional quality plan with Supplier, Supplier Quality, and Engineering for component parts and assemblies, including Checking Fixtures, Measurement Points, and Measurement Point coordination.
• Key Achievements:
- Built-In Quality Level 4 Certificate (Defect Doesn't Leave the station). - Improve the Plant Electrical First Time Quality (E-FTQ) from 70% to 96.3% and the ranking from 31st to the top 4th plant globally.
